Land rent is the amount of money paid for leasing a plot or farm.
To comply with the requirement provided in the right of occupancy, land rent should be paid annually from 1 July of each year.
The registered owner of the plot or farm. The rent should be paid for any land either developed or not).
The land rent shall be paid to the Ministry of Land, Housing and Human Settlements Developments, land rent section for Dar es salaam plot owners. For upcountry, the land rent shall be paid to the Municipal or district councils land offices.
Land rent shall be paid annually commencing from 4 July, to 31st December. After six (6) months of grace period the land rent shall be paid with penalty of 1% each month.
