Functions

·         To oversee implementation of Land Acts.

·         To manage land acquisition, revocation and transfer process

·         To facilitate  land development  projects

·         To oversee administration of General land

·         To resolve Land disputes administratively.

The Division is led by the Commissioner and there are three Sections and seven Zonal Land Administration Offices. Each Sections and  Zonal Land Administration Office is led by Assistant Commissioner as follows: -

·         Urban Land Administration Section

·         Rural Land Administration Section

·         Land Administration Legal Services Division

·         Zonal Land Administration Offices:

1. Lake (Mwanza) Zone land Office (comprising Mwanza, Kagera and Mara regions)
2. Western (Tabora) Zone Land Office(comprising Tabora, Kigoma and Shinyanga regions)
3.  Northern (Moshi) Zone Land Office(comprising Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro and Tanga regions)
4. Southern (Mbeya) Zone Land Office(comprising Mbeya, Iringa, Rukwa and Ruvuma regions)
5. Central (Dodoma) Zone Land Office(comprising Dodoma and Singida regions)
6. Eastern (Dar es Salaam) Zone Land Office(comprising Dar es Salaam, Coast a and Morogoro regions)
7. South Eastern (Mtwara) Zone Land Office(comprising Mtwara and Lindi regions)
