Cadastral Survey is a survey relating to land boundaries and subdivision, which is made to create units suitable for transfer of or define the limitation of a title. It is also defines or re-establishes boundaries of public and or private land for purpose of ownership and Taxation.

Cadastral section deals with all cadastral surveys executed by different land surveyors (Private or Government Land Surveyors). At this section all cadastral surveys are examined and checked before approved by the Director of Surveying and Mapping. To day, this section is trying to computerise all survey data by designing Survey Registration System (SRS), where by data and all Lot information are kept in database.
